Gregory Dixon Aug. 13, 1927 - June 3, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY

Florence Evelyn Gregory (Yates) Dixon (83) was born to Elza and Vera Yates on August 13, 1927 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.  She quietly slipped from this life on Friday, June 3, 2011 in Oklahoma City.  Florence quit school in order to marry William (Bill) Gregory on January 29, 1944.  They were blessed with two daughters, Sherry Lynn and Diane Carol. Florence and Bill were married for 32 years at the time of Bill's death.  Florence later married Jack Dixon in 1981.  They were married 18 years at the time of Jack's death on December 31, 1999.  Florence lived an active life until recent health problems began to hinder her. She later finished GED requirements and attended Oscar Rose College.  Florence was an active member of the Southern Ridge Church of Christ. She always exhibited a positive, caring, and kind spirit.  Florence was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Ellen Yates; and her husbands, William A. Gregory and Jack Dixon.  She is survived by one brother, James R. Yates of Bedford, Texas; her two daughters, Sherry Lynn Gregory Rhoades with her husband Galen, and Diane Carol Gregory; four grandchildren, Sandra Baker, Shelly Baril, Laura Rhoades, and Geoffrey Rhoades; six great-grandchildren, Aaron Baker, Ashley Baker, Blake Colson, Bethany Colson, Cole Coffee, and Madielynn Coffee.
