Mrs. Frances McCall, Fresno Resident Nearly Half Century Dies

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances McCall, 88, of 3053 Wishon Avenue, who died yesterday in San Jose following a long illness, will be arranged by Orr's Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. McCall lived in Fresno from 1907, when she came here with her family from her native Texas, until she moved to San Jose a few years ago for her health.  Her husband, John Edward McCall, mined and farmed in this area.  He died here in 1940 at the age of 84.

Mrs. McCall, a member of the Bethel Temple of Fresno, is survived by two sons, five daughters, 27 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and "at least" two great, great grandchildren, according to Mrs. Robert L. McCall of Fresno, a daughter in law.

The sons are Robert L and Joe L. McCall of Fresno.  The daughters include Mrs. Myrtle Bradford of Fresno, Mrs. John Brown of Paradise, Mrs. Erna Tracy of Compton, Mrs. Laura Safford of Escondido and Mrs. Hazel Rust of El Cajon.
