WILLIAMS -- (Special) -- Mrs. William R. Southworth, 23, the former Judy Tissaw of Williams, was killed Sunday afternoon near Monrovia, Calif., when a tree fell across her car while the family was picnicking with friends. Her year-old daughter, Jan Marie, suffered a broken nose in the accident. Mrs. Southworth was born on Aug. 29, 1935, in Clarkdale, and was graduated from Williams High School in 1953. She was a member of Rainbow for Girls, and of the high school Drum and Bugle Corps, and other high school groups. Before her marriage, she was employed by Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co. Survivors, in addition to her husband and daughter, are her mother, Mrs. Nita Burrage of Prescott; her father, James D. Tissaw, on a construction project in Arabia; two sisters, Marjorie and Lauren, both of Prescott; and a brother, Brian, also of Prescott. Funeral arrangements are pending. |
