Emmitt Dude Barker

Emmitt Dude Barker, 59, of Ceres, died In a local hospital Friday after an extended illness.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, and burial will be in Acacia Memorial Park.  A resident of California for 47 years and a resident of Modesto for 30 years before moving recently to Ceres for 12 years.  He is survived by his widow, Alice Lockman of Modesto; he is survived by his children, Dorneil Gilmore of Empire, Thomas Jerry Barker of Hickman, Carl Barker, Eugene Barker and Howard Barker, all of Modesto, and Linda Barker of Waterford; brothers, Tommy Nathan Barker of Ceres and Randall Wilson of Watsonville: sisters, Bertha Burkett of Honey Grove, Texas, Gerea Hull of Houston, Texas and Tish Davenport of Wichita Falls, Texas and six grandchildren.

He was a retired real estate salesmen.
