WILLIAMS (Special) -- Funeral services are pending at Gibbs Mortuary for Helen Jean Hancock who died at her home early this morning Mrs. Johnson had undergone several operation for cancer since 1956. The deceased was born Nov. 4, 1923, at Merced, Calif., and came to Williams with her parents as a tiny baby. She had made her home here since that time. A graduate of Williams High School in 1942, she moved to Ben Johnson in January of 1944. She was past Noble Grand of the Williams Rebekah Lodge, a member and former treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary, Cordova unit. She attended the Methodist Church, and was also active in Girl Scout work. Survivors include her husband Ben; three daughters, Shannon, 12, Nadine, 11, and Eleanor, 9; her parents, Mrs. Flora Hancock, Prescott, and Roy Hancock of Ola, Idaho; one brother, LeRoy of Bedford, Ore., and three sisters, Norma Lockwood, Patricia Adelblue and Betty Hargrove all of Prescott. |
