Rites Held For Arthur T. Massey

Funeral services for Arthur T. Massey, 84, of Burleson were held at Howell-Doran Chapel at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, with burial in Oak View Cemetery in Mullin.

Pallbearers included Alan Kardash, Bobby G. Massey, James Burkett, Don Geeslin, Bert Estes and Graigan Johnson.

Howell-Duran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A retired stock farmer, Massey died at 1:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, in Fort Worth.

He was born June 18, 1883 in Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Massey.  He married Stella Mae Burkett April 27, 1919, at Mullin.  He was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Burkett Massey of Austin and Joe Massey of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby Topletz of Dallas and Stella Mae Kardash of Irving; four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gray of Herne, Mrs. Clara Goode of Kingsville, Mrs. Gertie Koch of Houston and Mrs. Ed Matheson of San Antonio; one brother, Oliver Massey of Houston; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
