Brack William Mitchell

Services Held for B. Mtchell

    Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Cate-Spencer Funeral Home chapel in Sweetwater Cemetery in Sweetwater for William Brack Mitchell.

    Mr. Mitchell died Tuesday night after entering Simmons Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater Sunday.

    Paul Rogers, minister of Elm Street Church of Christ officiated at the services and burial was in the Sweetwater Cemetery.

    Born in Ellis County, Texas, Mr. Mitchell came to the vicinity 75 years ago.  He was a retired rancher and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 53 years.  His father was the first sheriff of Fisher County, Tex.  Recently he has been making his home with his son, Dick Mitchell, Garden City.  Other survivors are three daughters, Mrs. E. A. Ricks and Mrs. W. G. Davis, Jr., both of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. R. M. Payne, El Paso, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
