GOLDTHWAITE (RNS) -- Floyd Ely Burkett, 80, of Goldthwaite died Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at the Childress Hospital here.

Funereal will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Goldthwaite Church of Christ with Joe Woodrum, minister, officiating.  Burial will be in the Oakview Cemetery in Mullin under the direction of Wilkins Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 3 1891, in Mullin, and married Maude Petty Nov. 24, 1912, in Mullin.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and a retired stock farmer.

Survivors include a son, James Burkett of Bertram; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Gerald of Grand Prairie; two granddaughters, Marla Gerald and Jaime Burkett; two brothers, Edgar Burkett of Mullin and John Burkett of Goldthwaite; four sisters, Mrs. W.L. Jackson of Lubbock, Mrs. Berdie Chamber of Mullin, Mrs. Maydell Goodwin of Blanket and Mrs. Gladys Hodges of Goldthwaite.
