Harold E. Hubbard

HILL CITY -- Harold E. Hubbard, 44, died Wednesday evening in the Graham County Hospital in Hill City.  He was a former resident of Great Bend.  Born May 6, 1926 in Braman, Okla., he was employed with the Baker Oil Tool Co.

He was a member of the VFW Post 8871 in Plainville and the Hill City Elks Lodge 1995.

He is survived by the widow, Patricia, of the home; sons, James, Leavenworth, and Richard, Hill City; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hubbard, Hoisington; one brother, Jerry, Oildale, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Bill Ware, Mrs. Shirley Wheeler and Mrs. Carl Waymeir, all of Bakersfield, Calif.

Funeral services will b at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hill City Christian Church with Mr. A. J. Ives officiating.  Military graveside rites will be held by the VFW in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Hill City.  Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Friday.
