Lloyd Clifford Wadlington

 

Lloyd Clifford Wadlington was the first born child of Gidion and Dora Wadlington.

Lloyd Clifford departed this life on December 27,1974 at the age of 69 years and 17 days he was a member of the General Baptist Church.  He was survived by his wife Aline Wadlington two daughters Pearl Mashburn and Merlene Sheets, from Michigan City, Ind. Four step-daughters Barbra Jean Hennings from LaPorte, Indiana, Mary E. Sebesta, Anne Dobzyncki and Linda Marie Yeakley from Michigan City, Indiana. One Son Ronald Wadlington of Trumann, Arkansas, five step-sons Donald Lee Yeakley, Junior Yeakley, Charles Yeakley of Michigan City, Indiana Ernest Yeakley from Riveria, California and Frankie Yeakley from Trumann, Arkansas. Four sisters Lillie Farmer from Mulberry, Fla Ollie Adams and Lucy Sanders of Trumann, Arkansas Emma Black from Galien, Michigan. Two brothers Frank Lloyd from Trumann, Arkansas and Raymond Wadlington from Huntington, California.  He was also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

At the time of his death Lloyd had been a resident of Trumann for six years after moving from Michigan City, Indiana, he was a retired Mechenist.

Lloyd and Elsie lived in a tent in the woods they put Pearl Mae their daughter in a wash tub on the table so that wild hogs couldn't get her in the night.  The next morning the cook stove would be rooted over by the wild hogs.
