Reverend Watson Dies In Jackson Widely known retired Cumberland Presbyterian minister Rev. Frank Lee Watson, aged 78, succumbed to an extended illness in the Jackson-Madison County Hospital at 10 a.m. Sunday. A native of this county, the Rev. Watson had served a number of area churches before his retirement and had been an active minister well beyond the normal retirement age. He was a member of Warren Masonic Lodge 125. A native of this county, he was married to the former Eula Bond, who preceded him in death, and was a son of the late John and Julie Ann Burkett Watson. He had been for some time residing on Watson Road, Jackson. Survivors include seven sons, James Watson, Smithville; Paul, Morris and Frank Watson, Jr., of McMinnville; Aaron Watson, Hot Springs, Ark.; the Rev. David Watson, Bradford, Tenn., and the Rev. Johnny Watson, Troy, Tenn.; four daughters, Mrs. W.H. Adcock and Mrs. C. E. Billings, both of this city; Mrs. Omer Stennet, Fair Mount, Ind., and Mrs. Rebecca Ferrell, of Jackson; two brothers, Lewis Watson, McMinnville, and Jesse Watson, Smithville; a half-sister, Mrs. Laura Bain, of Dowelltown, 36 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Another son preceded him in death while serving in Vietnam. Brother Alfred Bennett will conduct final rites in Love-Cantrell Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, interment to follow in Banks Cemetery, DeKalb County.
