Frederick Cecil White The Santa Cruz Sentinel - May 27, 1986
Funeral services will be Wednesday for Fred C. White, a longtime Santa Cruz County resident, who died Friday at his Capitola Home. He was 75. Born in Russett, Okla., Mr. White built the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Freedom in 1941. He was pastor there until 1960 when he retired to Capitola. Mr. White did missionary work in Haiti, South America and Central America. He also was an assistant pastor to various churches throughout California and Oregon. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Frances J. White of Capitola; two daughters, Judith A. Hernandez or Santa Cruz and Martha A. Kopp of Sacramento; one son, Paul W. White of Capitola; two brothers, Homer White of Palestine, Texas, and Crawford White of Appomattox, Va.; four sisters, Opal Bachm of Hayesville, N.C., Pansy Bloodworth of Shreveport, La, and Mildred Rush of Bentonville, Ark. and Hazel Low of Fresno; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arnold’s Funeral Home, 1902 Ocean St, Extension. The Rev. J.D. Adkinson will officiate. Friends may call at Arnolds Funeral Home from 5 to 8 tonight.
