COMANCHE - Elzie Hatley, a longtime resident of Comanche, died Sunday at a Brownwood nursing home after an illness. He was 75. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gardens of Memory in Comanche. Comanche Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hatley was born in Kennett, Mo., and had lived in Comanche many years. He was a retired lawn mower repairman. Survivors: Seven daughters, Nellie Coleman of Ragley, La., Dorothy Sheffield and Faye Frair, both of Patterson, La., Bonnie Shaw of Blytheville, Ark., Wanda Gilbert of Comanche, Lesa Hatley of Billings, Mont., and Peggy Moore of Germany; six sons, William "Sonny" Hatley, Larry "Shorty" Hatley and Kenneth Hatley, all of Comanche, Tommy "Butch" Hatley of Hamilton, Jerald Hatley of Moss Point, Miss., and Steve Dueboay of New Orleans; brother, Claud Henry Hatley of Chicago; three sisters; 37 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
