Ann Civilette Burkett

Ann Civilette Burkett, 41, died Oct. 29, 1993, at her residence.  A native of Fredonia, N.Y., she was born May 3, 1952, and had been a Reno resident for the past 17 years.  Mrs. Burkett was a teacher and social worker and a volunteer at SAFES.  She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno.  Surviving are son Matt and daughter Stephanie Burkett, both of Reno, sister Fran Downs of Florida and parents Mathew and Grace Whitaker. A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Reno.  Cremation will be at the Reno Crematory, under the direction of the Northern Nevada Cremation and Burial Society.
