Maxwell L. Horton Modesto Bee, The, January 5, 1993
Maxwell Horton, 63, of Modesto died Sunday at Doctors Medical Center. Mr. Horton was a native of Hollis, Okla. He lived in Modesto 41 years. He worked for Foster Farms for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children, Robert Horton, Terry Horton and Brenda Nasseth, all of Modesto, Roxanne Horton, Shelley Horton and Becky Stelter, all of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Royce Horton of Modesto and David F. Horton Jr. of Groveland; sisters, Darlene Smith and Audrey Wallace, both of Modesto, Valda Smith of Riverbank, Opal Crouch of Oklahoma and Frankie Mayfield of Lakewood; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
