NAVAREE, FLA. — Charles Curtis Owens, 72, of 1895 Commodore St., Navaree, died Monday at his residence.  The funeral was today at 3 p.m. at the Albertville, Ala. Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Entombment was in the Marshall Memorial Garden Mausoleum.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Owens; a daughter, Melanie Carter of California; three sons, Gerald Owens of Albertville, Steve Temple of Washington and Billy Owens of Florida; two sisters, Emma R. McClendon of Albertville and Nettie E. Duncan of Georgia; four brothers, Pershing Owens, Rlee Owens and Billy J. Owens, all of Albertville, and Irby Owens of Cullman, Ala.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
