Neal Edwin Wood

Neal Edwin Wood, age 88, of Kingsland, died October 19, 1993 in a local nursing home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 22, 1993 at Kingsland Community Church.  Burial at Kingsland Cemetery.

Mr. Wood was born March 1, 1905 in Kingsland, Texas to Neal Edwin Wood Sr., and wife, Sophia.  On December 28, 1934 he married Willie Mae Box of Lone Grove, Texas.

Mr. Wood was active in the early development of Kingsland, a charter member in the Community Church of Kingsland and a lifelong rancher, having had ranches in Llano and Williamson Counties.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Wood of Bertram Nursing Home. A niece, Ruth Wood Myers and husband, Lloyd; and 3 great-nieces and their families.

Pallbearers will be Wes Foust, James Mathers, Woody McCasland, Oscar Richter, Drace Williams and Randall Polk.  A special thanks to the staff of the Bertram Nursing Home.
