Gentry J.B. Burkett Huntsville Times, The, April 23, 1995
NEW MARKET -- Gentry J.B. Burkett, 84, of New Market died Friday in New Market. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville with Donald Ramey and Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mr. Burkett, a native of Tennessee, was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a Mason and was retired from Dunlop Tires and Dallas Manufacturing. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Burkett; three daughters, Betty Stephens of Huntsville, Brenda Elders of Marietta, Ohio, and Deborah Howard of New Market; a son, William L. "Buddy" Burkett of Huntsville; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
