Yellville-Evelyn COWAN, 89, a lifetime resident of Marion County, died Thursday (Feb. 16, 1995) in Yellville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Yellville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Cypert officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Burns Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Larry EVANS, Earl WOOD, Leo KEYS, Altus (Shorty) DOSHIER, Mike WICKERSHAM, and J. B. OTT serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie LYLES and Harry KETNER. Mrs. COWAN was born Oct. 21, 1905, in Marion County, daughter of Lonzo CALLAHAN and Maudie REID CALLAHAN. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott, a daughter, Linda Kay and by her parents. Survivors include a sister, Alice Katherine OLER of Prescott, Ariz.; two brothers, Lonnie CALLAHAN of Yellville and Ernie CALLAHAN of Port Townsend, Washington and several cousins.
