CALVIN F. "SNOOKS" MAYTUBBY, 78, a retired civil service worker, died June 11, 1996, in Colorado Springs. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at Simla Cemetery. Mr. Maytubby was born, Nov. 28, 1917, in Wapanucka, Okla., to Benjamin and Vessie (Dupree) Maytubby. He is survived by his wife, Irene M. Roberts of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Bonnie Jeanne Burley of Colorado Springs; a brother, Franklin of Colorado Springs; three sisters, Otherine Winter of Colorado Springs, Billie Bellmyer of Yoder and Carol Spurling of Peyton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Maytubby served in the Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946. He was a 32nd-degree Mason. He played baseball and softball, and was an avid bowler.
