George F. Burkett, Jr. Salt Lake Tribune, The, May 16, 1997
TOOELE, Utah--George passed away May 15, 1997 in Salt Lake City. He was born to George F. and Lavanche Burkett Sr. at Bonanza, UT, April 7, 1933. He graduated from Tooele High School. He worked for the Tooele City Police Dept. and Tooele City Parks Dept. before retirement. He was a sports fan and loved football, baseball and golfing. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and a member of St. Marguerite's Church. He is survived by a brother, James M. (Jean) Burkett; sister, Marjorie M. (Robert) Perkins; four nieces and their children. Preceded in death by mother and father. Funeral services will be Saturday May 17,1997 at 10 a.m. at St. Marguerite's Church. Friends may call on Friday May 16th 6-8 p.m. at the Church with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. The family wishes to thank the nurses health care personnel and all the help on the 2nd floor of Bonneville Health Rehab Center for all the tender loving care to George.
