Robert A. Lea Commercial Appeal, The, December 29, 1997
ROBERT ALLEN LEA, 64, of Memphis, retired truck driver for Trans Carrier, died of cancer Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery South. Forest Hill Funeral Home South has charge. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Mr. Lea, the husband of Julie Lea for 26 years, also leaves two daughters, Lisa Harris and Kathy Agee, both of Lebanon, Tenn.; six sons, Robert Allen Lea Jr. of Lebanon, and David Dawson and Rick Dawson, both of Memphis, Danny Dawson of Gibson City, Ill., Scott Dawson of Buckley, Ill., and Alan Dawson of Ludlow, Ill.; and six sisters, Lucille Hobbs, Ruth Ricketts, Hester Howard, Virginia Hallums, Margie Trice and Sue Barnes, and two brothers, David Lea and Kenneth Lea, all of Lebanon, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
