Thelma Johanning

Services for Thelma B. Johanning, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Johanning died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at the Heartland Care Center, Topeka.

She was born July 22, 1917, in Osage County, the daughter of John and Minnie Gabler Northcutt,

She had been living in Lawrence in 1953m moving from Topeka.

Mr. Johanning was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Johanning Implement Co. in Lawrence.

She married Elmer R. Johanning on Feb. 14, 1953, in Kansas City, Kan.  He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Wakeman, Lawrence, a son, Robert Johanning, Lawrence; three sisters, Margaret Mills, Osage City, Wilda Knowles, Running Springs, Calif., and Leota Baker, Gilbert, Ariz., and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p,m, to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Heart of America Hosspice or th the Heartland Care Center, both in Topeka.  Memorials may be sent in care of teh mortuary.
