Lois A. Orzech Synave News-Dispatch, The, May 16, 1998
LONGMONT, Colo. - Lois Anne Orzech Synave, 55, Longmont, Colo., and formerly of Michigan City, died at 8 p.m. MDT Tuesday (May 12, 1998) at her home following an illness. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Michigan City, with Monsignor Michael Tomaszewski officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Mrs. Synave was born Feb. 13, 1943, in Michigan City, the daughter of Joseph and Lorraine Nawrocki Orzech, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 6, 1964, in Michigan City, she married Walter W. Synave, who survives. Mrs. Synave was a 1961 graduate of Elston High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont, Colo. and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Jeff) Rentschler and Patricia (Phillip) Haugen, both of Longmont; one son, Thomas (Kristen) Synave, also of Longmont; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Haugen and Amanda Synave, and two grandsons, Jacob Rentschler and Brandon Rentschler, all of Longmont; a brother, Wayne (Patricia) Orzech of DeMotte, Ind.; two nieces and four nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph Synave. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Boulder County, 2825 Marine St., Boulder, CO 80303.
