Glen Coppinger MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Glen Coppinger, 77, of Muscatine, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Services will be 11 a.m., Monday at the Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in Muscatine. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to the Glen Coppinger Memorial Fund as established at the funeral home or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association P. O. Box 75004, Seattle, Wash., 98125-0004. He was born July 4, 1923, at Warren County, Tenn., the son of Walter Alex and Lillie Irene Perry Coppinger. He married Martha Watson on Sept. 11, 1948, at Rossville, Ga. Mr. Coppinger retired from Kent Feeds in 1985 after 35 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on small engines and loved watching the birds in his yard. Survivors include his wife, Martha; three sons, Walter of Jeffersonville, La., John of Muscatine and Cliff of Boise, Idaho; four daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Irene) King of Muscatine, Gale Coppinger and her fiance, Shane Krise of Gorin, Mo., Mrs. John (Wanda) Bryant, Jr. of Muscatine and Mrs. Mike (Leann) Henricksen of Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline Madewell and Leona Williams, both of McMinnville, Tenn.
