James Lawrence Hodgkins III

FORT WORTH - James Lawrence Hodgkins III, 61, a retired program director for General Dynamics, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, in Santa Fe, N.M.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at John Knox Presbyterian Church.  Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.  Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home.

James Hodgkins III was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Fort Worth and was a lifelong area resident.  He graduated from Northside High School in May 1957, served in the United States Marine Corps and later attended Tarrant County Junior College where he earned his associate's degree in 1976.  He was employed at General Dynamics starting in logistics/technical publications and later associated with the program office where he was assigned projects in Israel and Indonesia.  He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: Wife, Judy Brown Hodgkins; son, Trent E. Hodgkins; daughter, Holly E. Douglass; granddaughter, Brianna Douglass, all of Fort Worth; parents, Jim and Patricia Hodgkins of Lake Worth; brother, Chris Hodgkins of Eagle Nest, N.M.; sister, Carol Morales of Azle; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Biggers Funeral Home Lake Worth, (817) 237-3341
