Freddie Mullins

DUMAS - Freddie Mullins, 78, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch, pastor, and Vance Reaves officiating.  Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery at Sunray by Morrison Funeral Directors.  Mr. Mullins was born in Stratford, Okla., and had lived in Dumas since 1953.  He was a World War II veteran.  He was a mechanic and a member of First Street Church of Christ.  He married Frances Louise Smith in 1946 at Sentinel, Okla.  Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bruce Mullins of Rosharon and Donnie Lee Mullins of Waianae, Hawaii; two daughters, Patricia Brandon of Great Mills, Md., and Carol Maloney of Lamar, S.C.; his mother, Linnie Mullins of Sunray; five sisters, Barbara Shipp of Pampa, Joyce Mutschler of Sunray, Margaret Marney of Tulsa, Okla., Janice Wisdom of Hubbard, Ore., and Reva Thomas of Burnet; four brothers, Jim Mullins of Mabank, Kenneth Mullins of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Paul Mullins of Amarillo and Allen Mullins of Canyon; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, 3400 S. Bowie St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or First Street Church of Christ building fund, 1718 E. First, Dumas, TX 79029.  The family will be at 1207 Zauk.  Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 1, 2000
