William Harold Underhill
William Harold Underhill - founder of the Tennessee Group Chapter of the Underhill Society of America, since July 1999. A descendent of John W. Underhill of DeKalb County, TN, born October 25, 1936 and died on November 9, 2000. Died at home in Denham Springs, LA, after an extended illness, at the age of 64, and was a resident formerly of DeKalb County, TN. A retired painting and drywall contractor, a member of Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a 1954 graduate of DeKalb County High School, was the son of the late William Ernest and Mary Belle Vanatta Underhill. He is survived by his wife, Allyson Rivett Underhill; son William Harold (Hal) Underhill Jr.,; daughter Rachel Achord Graham; granddaughter, Madison Marie Graham; brothers, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws include: Eugene and Dorothy Underhill of Lebanon, TN; Dixie and Naomi Underhill of McMinnville, TN; Beecher and Jeanette Underhill of Good Hope, GA; Debbie and Brad Parnell of Baker, LA; Wally and Becky Rivett of Prairiville, LA; Denise and Roy Kennedy of Baton Rouge, LA; Lisa and Trigger Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; Brad and Julie Rivett of Gonzales, LA; and Andrea Rivett of Baton Rouge, LA; mother and father-in-law, Wallace and Gayle Rivett of Baton Rouge, LA; 13 nieces, 11 nephews, 10 great-nephews and 9 great-nieces. Services were held on Monday, November 13, 2000, at Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bratton and wife Rev. Fay Underhill Bratton officiating.
