Alfred Miles Clifton, 79, of Phoenix Arizona, died August 28, 2001 following his wife Charlotte who passed away in April. An Arizona native, he was born October 19, 1921 at the old 1 St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix. Alfred served in the Army medical corp during WWII and was involved in the D-Day Normandy invasion. He was an accomplished musician and pianist who passed on his love of music to young people as choral music teacher at Phoenix Union, Alhambra, Carl Hayden and Central high schools. Alfred is survived by his sons: Andrew and David and daughter-in-law Michele. He was our dad. We loved him and miss him. Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, 9am at First United Methodist Church in the sanctuary 5510 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, Hansen Mortuary. |
