Nannie Jane Cox Jackson

JACKSON Nannie Jane Cox, 87, of OKC, went to be with her Lord on March 13, 2001.  She was born on May 4, 1913 in Waurika, OK to James J. and Zora Lena (Farris) Cox.  On October 10, 1929, she married H.A. (Bud) Jackson in Minco, OK.  She was a strong woman who loved and lived life to the fullest.  Nannie was a homemaker for most of her married life.  She and Bud lived most of their married life in OKC and raised 6 children.  Preceding her in death were her husband of 61 years, Bud; her parents; sisters, Floy Hunter, Flora (Ted) Carter; and Dixie Lee Moore; and great granddaughter, Heather Dawn Jackson.  Survivors include her six children, James L. (Jiggs) Jackson and wife Valerie of Wasilla, AK, Doyle Jackson and wife Earlene, Hulen Jackson. and wife Joan, Barbara J. Loughridge, Donna Colson and husband LeRoy, and Buddy Jackson all of OKC; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ray Cox and wife Mary Lee of San Antonio, TX, and James Cox of OKC; sister, Nell Herndon of OKC; and many relatives and friends.  Nannie attended the Baptist Church and was dedicated to the Lord.  She was known as MeeMaw to everyone.  Mom was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.  Her greatest pleasures in life were loving and caring for her children and grandchildren, cooking, eating, and living life to the fullest.  Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2001 at the South Colonial Chapel with interment following at the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
