Polos George

George Polos, 78, of Sherwood, retired from the Arkansas Air National Guard, died Monday, Jan. 22.  He was a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alyce Polos; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Edwin Hinkson of Little Rock; one grandson, Eddie Hinkson and wife Pam of Benton; one granddaughter, Kim Kees and husband Scott of Little Rock; one great-grandson, Daniel fo Benton; one brother, Tommy Polos of Nevada; one sister, Christine Overton of North Little Rock; and host of adopted kids and grandkids who called him Pop.

A memorial service celebrating his life was held Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church with the Revs Don Moseley and Hardy Bell officiating.  Graveside services were held at Rest Hills Memorial Park; nlrt2/8/2001
