Eltis L. CALLAHAN of Yellville

Eltis Lonnie CALLAHAN, 84, of Yellville, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Yellville, Arkansas.  Mr. CALLAHAN was born August 8, 1917 at Yellville, Arkansas the son of Lonzo Ernest and Maudie A. CALLAHAN.  Mr. CALLAHAN was employed as a construction worker at C&H Sugar Company for 40 years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Survivors include his son, Don CALLAHAN, of San Leandro, CA; stepdaughter, Sherry STILL of North Little Rock, AR; sister, Alice Katherine OLER of Prescott, AZ; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  His parents, Lonzo and Maudie CALLAHAN, and son, Connie Mac CALLAHAN, preceded him in death.  Visitation was Sunday, April 14, 2002 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.  Funeral services were held Monday, April 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Yellville with Brother Tim Cypert officiating.  Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville.  Pallbearers were Charles BAKER and Terry HUSKY.  Odale DAVENPORT served as honorary pallbearer.  Arrangements were under the direction of Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, AR (870) 449-6621.
