Carlos L. Patterson Huntsville Times, The, December 28, 2003
Carlos L. Patterson, a native of Huntsville, passed away Saturday morning at Huntsville Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Patterson graduated from Rison High School and served three years in the United States Marine Corps. Initially he owned Fifth Street Cleaners then spent 40 years as a building contractor. He was a member of Memorial Parkway Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Lacy. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Chisholm Patterson; son, Greg Patterson of Huntsville; daughter, Anna (Paul) Parvin of Huntsville; son, Brad (Mary Ann) Patterson of Orange Beach; and daughter Barbie (Ricky) Peek of Huntsville; Grandchildren are Bryan and Laura Patterson, Lindsay Parvin, Annie Patterson and Griffin Peek. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Laughlin-Service Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with John Denney officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Memorial Parkway Church of Christ, 3703 Memorial Parkway; Huntsville, Al. 35810; or the Junior League Teen Shelter; PO box 2797, Huntsville, Al. 35801.
