Bonnie V. Hawkins Clevenger

Bonnie V. Clevenger, 81, of Madisonville, KY died at 6:03 P.M. Thursday, July 30, 2004 at the Regional Medical Center.

Born July 12, 1923 in Barnsley, KY she was the daughter of the late Leslie Hawkins and Polly Rhye Hawkins.  She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Theo Marilyn Clevenger.

She was a homemaker and a member and treasurer of the Earlington T.O.P.S. Organization.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Howard Morris Clevenger of Madisonville; four daughters, Sherry Dixon of Owensboro, KY, Shelia Taliaferro of Mortons Gap, KY, Kathy Knox of Madisonville and Jeanette Martinek of Germany; two sons, Fred Clevenger of Ft. Myers, FL and Jerry Clevenger of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Lucille Wagner and Mildred Davis, both of Barnsley; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.  Pallbearers will be Jacob Walters, Keith Stuart, Greg Taliaferro, Brad Taliaferro, Tommy Davis, Thomas Knox and Jerry Martinek.

Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the service at the funeral home.
