 Memorial services for Jerry Gayle Curtis were held at 11 AM Saturday in Trinity Fellowship Church with Rev. Wayne Kniffen officiating.  Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.  Mr. Curtis died Wednesday.

He was born December 14, 1947 in Mullin, Texas to Alton F. and Juanelle Burkett Curtis.  He attended schools in Goliad and graduated from Goliad High School and Southwest Texas University in San Marcos.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam era.  He moved to Hereford in 1981 and married Donna Schroeder June 16, 1982, in Hereford.

Mr. Curtis was owner/manager of Beef Tech Cattle Feeders.  He was a team roper, steer roper, and big game hunter.  He was one of 100 shootists in the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include his wife; one brother, Alton Burkett Curtis of Goliad; two sisters, Lori Curtis of San Antonio and Claye Curtis of Houston.
