Edna Hackney Francis Funeral services for Edna Hackney Francis, 84, of Murfreesboro who died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Teb Batey, Robby Schaffer and David Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Wilson County, Mrs. Francis was the daughter of the late Virgil and Cora Hackney. Mrs. Francis was married to the late R.L. "Bob" Francis, was a homemaker and a member of the Old Jefferson Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Tonya Batey; and her brothers and sisters, Roy Hackney, Susie Quesenbury, Pattie Lea, Mack Hackney, Frank Hackney, Paul Hackney, Maybelle Jones and Charles Hackney. Survivors include daughters Anne (Tom) Batey and Myrtle (Bob) Schaffer, both of Murfreesboro, and Becky (Eddie) Puckett of Franklin; sons Bobby (Brenda) Francis and Billy (Mary Dee) Francis, both of Murfreesboro; sisters Jennie Hackney, Mary Goodall, Glenna McKinney and Norma LaRocca, all of Mt. Juliet; brothers N.G. Hackney of Murfreesboro and Marvin Hackney of Lebanon; grandchildren Teb Batey, Robby Schaffer, Amy Self, Kim Francis, Stacy Boyle, Beth Shirley, Kay Martin, Katie Puckett and Carie Puckett. Memorials for Mrs. Francis may be made to Middle Tennessee Christian School. Pallbearers will be Tom Boyle, Chris Self, Clay Shirley, Brad Martin, Dustin Jones, Ralph Fullerton, Albert Godsey and Mortimer Cohen.
