Smith rites set at 1:58 pm

Funeral services for Troy Clyde Smith, age 85 of Dill City, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the McClure Funeral Home in Cordell with Truman Teel officiating.

Smith was born on Feb. 3, 1919 in Hollis, the son of Andrew Jackson and Eliza (Blagg) Smith.  He died on Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Clinton Veterans Center.

Clyde lived and worked in the Dill City Area most of his life before entering the Veterans Center in 1987.  He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were a sister, Edna Smith; and a brother, Oars Smith.

Interment will follow in the South Burns Cemetery.
