CARBONDALE -- Nellie Fern Gething, 93, formerly of Carbondale, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, in Melbourne, Australia.

She was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Brookport, the daughter of Riley and Edna May (Newcomb) White.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, in Oakland Cemetery with burial to follow.

Huffman-Harker Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of arrangements.
