Visitation is at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 19.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

She was a devoted wife of the late Robert N. Huggins and was beloved by her children, Bob (Ella), Judy Sisco, Jerry (Betty), Martin (Bobbie) and June Onks (Dennis); her 12 grandchildren, Randy, Brian, and Matt Huggins, Beth Huggins Warrington, Michael Sisco, Brenda Sisco McLain, Julie Huggins Leath, Laurie Huggins O’Brien, Amy Huggins Jasper, Kate Huggins Hinkel and Jason and Cayce Onks; 20 great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Dona Sinks, Mary Ann Huggins and Bill Timmons.  She also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Gloria Donk, and a niece, Anne Miller, of St. Louis, Mo.

Lillian, born June 4, 1909, was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Lillian June Miller and was reared in St. Louis, Mo.  At 25 years of age, she met Robert, who was in St. Louis working for the Nashville Stone Setting Company.  They wed in 1935, and Lillian came to Middle Tennessee where she resided the remainder of her life.

She was a totally selfless person who lived her entire life loving and caring for her husband, children grandchildren, and the hundreds of babies whom she rocked in the First Baptist Church Mother’s Day Out program for over 25 years.

Regardless of what life brought her way, she was patient with her children and content with her life.

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at National Healthcare in Hendersonville, who so lovingly cared for Lillian since her residence there and in her final hours.

Hendersonville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
