William David Brown

William David Brown, age 75 of Electra, Texas, passed away February 12, 2006 in Electra.

Services were he.d at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Rev. Nathan Smith of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment followed in the New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Mr. Brown was born November 23, 1930 in Quitaque, Texas to Paul Brown and Lola Darr Brown.  He moved to Electra as a small child.

He and Dorothy Ream were married September 16, 1953 in Electra.

Mr. Brown worked in the oilfield throughout most of his life and had also been a truck driver.  He then became employed by Flusche Oil Field Supply and retired in 1995 after more than thirty-seven years.

He had been a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross and had been recognized as a fourteen gallon blood donor.  He was a former member of the Electra Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home; two sons, Billy Edward Ream of Virginia Beach, Virginia and David Paul Brown of Electra; three sisters, Ima Jean Barker and Dorothy Ann Sluder, both of Electra and Mary Ellen Green of Levelland, Texas; two grandchildren, Garry Edward Ream of New Richmond, Ohio and Traci Marie Seiden of Holiday, Florida; four great grandsons; one great granddaughter and one great great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one son, Garry Alan Ream, on Nov. 18, 1955, and two brothers, Jackie Ray Brown and Jerry Brown.
