Obituary

SOUTH DAYTONA - Doris M. Norton, 84, of Biscayne Avenue, a former secretary for the Literacy Volunteers of America, died Monday at home.  Mrs. Norton was born in Orr, Okla., and moved to this area in 2004 from North Providence, R.I.  She was a member of the Cathedral of St. John, Providence, R.I., the Military Chaplains Association, the women's auxiliary of the Inside Guard Fraternal Order of Eagles 4401, and the Smithfield (R.I.) Historical Society.  She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross.  Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Eshlaman and Marcia Sasser, both of South Daytona; a sister, Maxine Cudd, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  Robbins Funeral Home, North Providence, is in charge.
