PATTERSON, ALFRED C. "PAT" age 76, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on September 22, 2006. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Patterson is survived by his: wife of fifty-six years, Betty Patterson; sons, Dale Patterson, Larry (Debby) Patterson; grandchildren, Pam (John Eric) Ortiz, Shawn (Misti) Patterson, Tim (Courtney) Patterson and Kevin (Courtney) Patterson; seven great-grandchildren. "There's an open gate at the end of the road, Through which each must go alone, and there in a light we cannot see, our Father claims His own; Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest; and there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best."
