Vida May Provolt
September 8, 1933 - May 16, 2006  

Vida May Provolt, 72, passed away, May 16, 2006 in Sandpoint, Idaho.  A celebration of Vidas life will be held over Memorial Day weekend; with family and friends sharing stories, memories, and experiences.  Her cremated remains will be spread in her flower garden so she can be with us in the blooms of future flowers.  Vida was born on September 8, 1933 in Burlingame, Kansas to Ernest and Marjory Johnson.  After high school she moved to Kelso, WA, where she met and later married Ronald Provolt on January 19, 1953.  After spending 30 years in the home they built together, a search for the simpler life, led them to Sandpoint.  Three of their children later joined them in Sandpoint.  The Provolts recently sold their property and home, bought five acres, and had a manufactured home placed.  Vida was looking forward to finishing the landscaping and starting flower and vegetable gardens before she was diagnosed with cancer.  Like a rose that bloomed her beauty touched many souls.  A life too short but whose kindness, selflessness, and exceptional spirit will live forever.  Those left behind to celebrate her life are her loving husband, Ron Provolt of Sandpoint, ID; three sons, Mike Bell of California, Randy Provolt of Arizona and Dan (Lisa) Provolt of Sandpoint, ID; daughter, Cheryl (Todd) Williams of Sandpoint, ID; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four siblings, Eldon (Hilda) Johnson of Sandpoint, ID; Laurel (Jim) Bryan of Burlingame, KS, Charlotte (Joe) Buel of Ketchikan, AK and Nadine Warner of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Eloise Burger.
