TALLADEGA - Funeral services for Donald Wayne Smith, age 47, will be Friday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. from the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Hurst and the Rev. Ottis Graves officiating.  Mr. Smith passed away Oct. 3, 2006 at Trinity BMC in Birmingham.  Survivors are two daughters, Mandy Wesley and her husband Anthony of Talladega and Christy Peters and her husband Matt of Talladega; two sons, Jeffery Wayne Smith and James Houston Smith both of Boaz; his parents, James E. and Alice Faye Smith of Talladega; his grandmother, Christine Green of Talladega; one brother, David Andrew Smith of Talladega; four grandchildren, Courtney Wesley, Anna Wesley, Astrid Wesley, and Jaylin Peters.  Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County.  He attended The Taylors Grove Holiness Church in Talladega and was self-employed businessman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Red Cross or the Salvation Army of North Talladega County.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-9 p.m.  Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
