Harry Richard Snider, Jr. Northville Funeral Home
Our Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Friend and Pastor, Dick Snider, went home to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus, on October 22, 2006. Dick Snider, 61 of Rt. 8 Speculator, NY died unexpectedly on Sunday October 22, 2006 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital. He was born in Akron, Ohio on September 30, 1945. The son of the late Harry R. Sr. and Peggy Roysdon Snider. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1965 to 1969. He received his BA degree from Akron University, his Master of Divinity from Ashland University and his PhD from Kent State. He worked for Goodyear in Ohio, was an English professor at Kent State, Akron University and Palm Beach Atlantic College and also worked as a speech writer for Ohio Power and Ohio Edison. The Rev. Dr. H.R. Sniders first pastorate was at Turkeyfoot Lake Church and Tallmadge Church in Ohio. He also pastored in Johnstown at New Covenant Community Church. He was the founder and currently the pastor of North Country Bible Fellowship for the last six years. On October 12, 1991 he married Yvonne Wilson Snider. Survivors include his wife Yvonne Snider of Speculator. Three children; Shannon and her husband Rick Esber, Micah Snider and Mary Snider of Speculator. Four brothers; Tommie Snider of Jackson Township, Ohio, Bill Snider of Akron, Ohio, Gene Snider of Tampa, Florida and Tim Snider of Floresville, Texas. Two grandchildren; Kaleb Esber and Julia Esber. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive him. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved by all.
Friends may call on Wednesday October 25, 2006 from 6 to 9
p.m. at the North Country Bible Fellowship Church on Elm Lake Road,
Speculator NY where a funeral service will be held on Thursday October 26,
2006 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Airdville Cemetery, Lake Pleasant
NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Country Bible
Fellowship Church or the Speculator Ambulance Corps. Arrangements
are by the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the
