Katie Allen of O’Donnell TX passed from this life on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at the age of 81. Mrs. Allen was born on July 19, 1925 in Dawson County, TX to the late John R. and Zona (Albright) Burkett. She attended school in the Okay Community, Mesquite and O’Donnell and graduated in 1943. She met Alfred (Bubs) Allen and they married on April 21, 1946 in O’Donnell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in O’Donnell. She is survived by her husband of 60 yrs., Bubs Allen of O’Donnell; one son, Randy and his wife Kay Allen of Lubbock; two daughters, Marilyn and her husband, John Bayer of Willis Point, TX and Pamela and her husband Randy Simpson of Brownfield, TX; two brothers, Joe Burkett of Angleton, TX and Jim Mac Burkett of O’Donnell and one sister Wilda Taylor of Portales, NM; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Family will greet friends from 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at White Funeral Home in O’Donnell. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at O’Donnell Church of Christ with David McNutt officiating. Interment will follow in O’Donnell Cemetery.
