Mary L. Clevenger
June 23, 1932 - July 25, 2007

Mary L. Clevenger, 75, Sharpsville, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Howard Regional Hospital.  She was born June 23, 1932, in Henderson, Ky., to Zennis and Betty (Gish) Hunter.  On August 12, 1950 in Evansville, she married James Clevenger and he preceded her in death.

She graduated from Evansville Reitz High School and later worked for AT&T for over 35 years.  She enjoyed playing euchre and reading.  She ran a consignment shop and liked meeting and talking to the people who came in.  She treasured her grandsons and loved watching them play in their athletic events.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and cherished spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Michael Clevenger, Sharpsville, her daughter, Desira LeCounte and husband Ed, Sharpsville, and her two grandsons, Mathew Bozell and Josh Shaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; two sisters; and four brothers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Barber officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sharpsville Lions Club.  Online condolences can be made at www.mem.om.
