LeRoy Burton Colson, 65, passed away on Wed., Sept. 5, 2007 with his family by his side. LeRoy worked and retired from Roadway Express after 30 years of service. He served in the National Guard. LeRoy was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Colson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Kay; two children, Jeanna Bishop, Clint Colson and wife Patty; four grandchildren, Jennifer Sevier and her husband Kyle, Jillian Bishop, Casey Colson and Cory Rosser; his mother, Fern Colson; one brother, Jack Colson and wife Suzan; many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and friends. LeRoy loved his family and friends. He enjoyed going to his grandkids' ballgames, golfing, hunting and fishing. He and Donna played cards and did crafts together after retirement and spent time in Canton, TX in the "motor home". LeRoy was always there for his family and enjoyed having everyone over to swim, cook out and play cards. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and OU football. Services to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
