Nathan Glenn Hackney

Nathan Glenn Hackney age 84 of Murfreesboro, TN died Wednesday April 4, 2007.

A native of Wilson County, he was the son of the late Virgil Columbus and Cora White Hackney.

Funeral service will be held 1p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with F. Murray Mathis, Teb Batey and Vernon Burrow officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Survived by wife of 62 years, Allie B Barrett Hackney; daughter, Glenda Schott of Murfreesboro; brother, Marvin Hackney of Lebanon; sisters, Mary (George) Goodall of Mt. Juliet; Glenna (Mac) McKinney of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Dr. Nate Schott, Jeff Schott, Jennifer Wyatt all of Murfreesboro; Allison Schott of Fairfax, Va., Nine Great-Grandchildren; sisters in law, Donna Hackney of Mt. Juliet; Ola Mae Hackney of Lebanon; Gladys Hackney of Murfreesboro; brother in law, Rocco La Rocca of Mt. Juliet.

Mr. Hackney was a member of Third Baptist Church, a US Air Force veteran having served in WWII, and retired from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center after 35 years of service.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Murfreesboro Blue Raiders 2005-2006 CCC Youth Football Team.  Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. Friday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
