Edna Mae "Blue Bell" D’Avy McClung
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.” — John 14:3 Edna Mae “Blue Bell” D’Avy McClung, 96, of Westlake, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in her residence. Blue Bell, the daughter of Whitney and Mamie Mixon D’Avy, was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Oakdale. She was a retired secretary from Citgo. Blue Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McClung; sisters, Dolly D’Avy Butts and Rena D’Avy Woodell; and a brother, Whitney D’Avy Jr. She is survived by a niece, Betty Woodell Query and husband Bob of Westlake; nephew, Tommy Woodell and wife Gloria of Lake Charles; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends who loved her. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today, April 19. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Johnson Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow in Westlake Memorial Gardens. |
